(This was part of a conversation about why some people reject any notion of God or any 'Higher Power' influencing our lives, especially a benevolent one.) Wounded children cut themselves off from parenting because they have been badly parented... by incompetent parents who are incompetent because they are innately selfish, or emotionally wounded themselves.
