A Note of quiet desparation, or jubilant celebration?

A Note Jubilant In the dark, when all is quiet as the grave, The moon on high, shining upon the sea, Locked into my head am I, not asleep, not awake, On the edge of nothingness, yet unable to let the day go, Often times a single note will chime within my mind. A wondrous little chord, so much more than a note it is I know, Save I prefer to think of it as a note, a bell tolling in the dark, Bright and mellowness, yet deep and broad, rolling on, As if a wave running up a beach to cast its energy...
