HARVEST It is fall, time to harvest what we have sown, Through a spring and summer of drought and pests, Our seed, vines, and trees have struggled, To the sun they have raised their leaves, Storms, hail and frost, all have taken their due, Did we plant deep enough or too deep, Weeds and four legged thieves did we keep at bay, Each and every day we have tended our gardens, Even from time to time at night when the deer about, Now, after growing season not long enough, harvest final, What shall we...
