I lived along Ventura Highway for a few years. There are lyrics in the song "...alligator lizards in the air..." I found myself living by Ventura Highway for awhile. One day, while I was playing my guitar in the sun, I heard a subtle sound. It was a nearby alligator lizard running down a set of brick stairs.
