Nicolet's main claim to fame was the fact that he was the great Chris Burford's QB for awhile. I used to listen to Don Klein's Stanford Indian broadcasts back then. Stanford's aerial offense was capable of piling up massive yardage but the defense always looked like it was under construction. One year, Stanford proved that all the passing success in the world doesn't guarantee you, victory one! You must also have an actively participating defense.
