Going along with my last post,
in which I was talking about how strangers on trains and in restaurants don't like sitting in close proximity to one another, I read a very interesting article in this week's Time Out New York (in local lingo, called TONY, it's a New York magazine dedicated to what's going on in and around New York City) about people who have lived in the same apartment building for years without speaking to one another.
