I think my package has become a shipping urban myth!

So a few weeks ago, I ordered a book through Amazon. Tracking through the website told me that it had arrived at the post office; then it told me that delivery was attempted, but that I wasn't at home (this at 2 pm on a weekday; where do you think I was? Also, I don't have a doorman and my neigbors are also away during the day, like most people who work). That was on the 24th; the package was estimated to arrive on the 26th. Um, I'm still waiting?
