A Song Bird

The bird sings From somewhere in the tree, Hidden from casual sight As he paints the day in joyous shades. Happiness on wings: He may be nothing special to see But listening to his sung delight All of the day's tension fades And, at last, I sit back and grin At a tree with a bright song bird in.
