Slime-drenched garden thief, Plunderer of fruit and leaf, The raider that comes from beneath That's worse than any bug. You cripple plants before they fruit, Devour seedlings as they first shoot And you are not even cute, My enemy: the slug. Yet, you shall not feast at will My lettuces are growing...
