Part Two Chapter One Brian opened his eyes half way when there was a knock, but sat up when he saw the doctor leaning through the door. Brian watched with cautious eyes as the doctor entered the room. The doctor smiled kindly at Brian and sat down on the edge of the bed. Brian smiled back feebly. The words ‘so here it comes’ droned in his head and cancelled out all other thoughts. Suddenly to Brian’s perspective the room began to shrink and the air went still.
