I arrived at this entry from reading the current (March 23) entry, and I find it to be incredible--in a very nasty way!!!
From what I gather, you live in public housing and that the residents of the same seem to be treated like cattle.
Do you have 
Habitat For Humanity over your way?
If so, I would start participating in that, and you'll eventually be living in a real home that's of high-quality--and it will belong to you!!!

oh my god. the situation sucks but wow, what you and your husband went through and you're all okay. Are you sure I'm not being sucked into a coronation Street episode (which would make you fascinating as well)? Please, keep us up on what happens next, will you?
