Jeff
The other good thing, is that the criticism wasn't siad to you face to face! It makes it a bit easier to handle! Good luck with your next assignment.

Actually Littlemspickles

the critique was quite useful and I can use almost everything that was said to improve my writing. I'm just not used to that type of writing, writing to sell something, so I have a lot to learn.

There is no point doing the course
if you don't learn from it. Even if you discard everything they teach you later take from it everything you can.

i feel for you...
perhaps it is one person's opinion, but you know, there will always be someone out there who just doesn't get it! and will say so, most will just get on with it and ignore it, perhaps not even leave a comment. although it hurt, did you have another look through your assignment and see if any of the criticisms could be used to better the work? if not, how about posting it and asking someone else to do a critique?! or get someone else to read it and make comments if you don't feel like posting it.

Jeff, because writing is part of us, it's like someone insulting us
personally.
