Holy crap!
Halfway through this blog, I had to relate to PL (who is ever hovering around the computer in my aid- especially late after rehearsal when I need a drink to help me with my writing- GAWD she is so cool) how Barry (My Director in Henry V) addded into Henry V a rugby scene to reflect the anachronism of celebrating English soldiers after the battle of Agincourt.
And I have to say, I guess my Blogs are an insight into my world, as this is the only way you could know me this well.
AWESOME tale.
Yours,
Earl of Westomoreland, (and Pirate Sebastian, zimm blah blah)

Great stuff Dances. I hope Zimm's not jealous with me downing a bottle with PrincessLucy and Jemmie. I also used to play rugby at school, but I was useless. I could tackle quite well, but never pass straight or catch a pass. Or kick it properly. Or learn any of the rules successfully. I turned to darts at an early age. That involved beer.
And I love the moral of this jolly tale too.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends. Let's mend it and fix it like the mice in Bagpuss. (First part for Zimm. Second part for 30-something Brits)

LOVE IT!
Actually I played a Scrum half when I played rugby... and here are lines form Henry V for you... (since I am acting in it)-
King Henry: Act 4, Scene 3
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
