SlyCy,
and a good civil duty is what you're doing! Seriously, I don't have a problem with contraversial blogs, don't get me wrong. I just get tired of the "abortion is murder" titles and crap like that that just screams for attention; positive or negative.

i would love to shut up about bush but I can't stand what he is doing
If I sound off about him I at least feel I am fulfilling my civic duty.

Thanks mysteria and Fat Guy,
I appreciate the comments. mysteria, I've read you for a while now, and I'm glad you know I read you often!

And Fat Guy, welcome to our world here on Blogit! Thanks for the comments. I am also known here to "voice" my opinion often, however, some of the very controversial topics I come across lately, I decide it's best if I just don't even click on them. I have very strong opinions about being pro-choice not only as far as abortion, but for religion, freedom of speech, and many other topics. Sometimes, certain blogs (and bloggers) are just not worth my time and/or energy. Once in a while, I may bite if I'm just "in the mood" but not too often anymore!

Yeah, I see what you mean
Hey, you're right on with your thoughts about some of the extreme blogs. What garbage. But the need to engage in something that gets us stirred up goes way back in humans. It might be a matter of simply getting a little burned out. Maybe a break will allow to get the R&R needed so you can go back in there and start kicking some tail. I believe in meeting some of those blogs head on. Ignorance must be fought or it wins.
Good post!!!

SpitFire...thoughtful post and very true...
My writings are more along the lines of controversial, but I really don't seem to get many hits. I am unique in style and forever working on improving my approach. I find a lot of inspiration from many people here. But I think a lot of posts spring from unfortunate subjects and only prove that people love to expose dirty laundry.
Thanks too for dropping by my pages....look forward to learning more about your style.

I agree with you on all of it
There are many topics around here that are beaten to death, and many bloggers that dwell on it. It really gets old. We need fresh stuff more than ever. What gets me is when brand new bloggers come in and start bitching about people that they don't even know on their first day. Great first impression, huh?

I know what you mean (maybe because I'm also an Aries). I'm a newbie, and just reading the titles of some of these blogs is enough to discourage me from going any further (unless I'm in a masochistic mood). But as far as what I write, I don't think politics is a subject that can ever be beaten to death, especially considering the horrific state of the world right now. Repetition can be a damn useful tool if you're trying to change people's minds for the better. Some people have to hear something seventeen times before it sinks in. And other people wouldn't recognize a rational thought if it punched them in the nose. You win some, you lose some.
