It's like advertising.
you either find a need, or create one, then sell people on the fact that you have what they need.
Then you charge what the market allows.

Agreed . . .
That is why I stipulated in my blog that monies in excess of income needed to operate the church, the excess be used on projects outside the church. Too many of today's churches are self-worshipping, rather than members of the larger coommunity, as they should be.

True. In reality, surplus funds are re-invested in financial institutions for the further "benefit of the church". Ironically sad how the church seeks to prosper itself.
