As a bipolar patient...
I can relate completely to your dilemma. Sometimes it helps to just sit in front of the CRT screen and think about what to write. Other times, it's a real problem just getting motivated. I've been like that for I don't know how long myself, Jemmie.

Opinionated Bitch
Hi there! It's hard feeling down. My Julie Andrews advice to you is make a list of all the things to be thankful for and happy about. Do something nice for another person.I bet you are good at this! Thank God or the Universe or the Goddess for your life. Be open to guidance about how to handle your mood. Think of your favorite things.
Remember, honey,it's only a movie. We just forget we are starring in it sometimes. God Bless and keep you. Have sweet dreams. Love,From Gita's World.

Jemmie, the stream-of-consciousness writing will reveal some amazing truth
about whatever is really going on with you. Try it! Just don't censor what comes out at all, and try to write as fast as you can without thinking about what you are writing. Computers are great for this, because you can write much faster than you can think. Here's a rose for you, today.

Okay; here is Dr. Pecan's remedy
Chocolate. And Lots of it. You are too skinny anyway!
Seriously, I hope you are feeling better soon. You've had a lot of stress lately, even happy stress is stress. Take some time to ground yourself.
Remember, I love ya.

Have you tried "stream of conciousness" writing to help you sort out feelings and emotions? Just get some paper and a pen and start writing whatever comes to mind, no matter how silly or unrelated it is. Sometimes it can help and sometimes you end up with an amazing piece of work!

jems, one of my most terrible habits in my youth was to saboutage any
happiness coming my way. Good things would happen and I would have to sit in that cellar that I spoke of earlier and think about falling axes and possible death and the end of happiness.
It was never as simple as I've written here, but it was my reaction to good things for years. Could you be doing that? Praying for your slow climb out of the funk.......or a quick jump out of it, if you can manage it !
