I've had a few people like that in my life - one, we rarely if ever talk, but even from our first conversation, we both recognized that we really liked the other. An instant trust.
Another, I knew from his first email - I held it up to a friend and said "this is the guy I want" (as my roommate). Two years after he moved out, we are still good friends.

I met Brendon in the first few weeks of seccond grade...
and our freindship is like that...hell I've been close friends with his wife for sixteen years in addition to him and his two kids are like brother and sister to Jaime. Those friendships are invaluable and rare...
p.s. thanks for the offer of a reccomendation...got the apartment after they saw my transcripts...
