I have a feeling that if I went through that book though, I'd find that I, too, also already do many of the 1,001 things. When I stopped working full-time at my "regular" job, I decided that first thing's first--I need to pay off bills ASAP. It's been tight for the last few months, but knowing that I'm taking care of it now, and still able to live without extreme financial pain, makes me feel more secure about the future.
