I know the anger, the fear...
I was stalked once too. Very similar case, only my stalker never broke into my place. But he'd call me at work and at home. He knew when I was at work though I wasn't scheduled to be there. He'd shine a light (one of those laser pen lights) in my living room window if I was in there onto me usually in the middle of my chest or forehead. He'd call at all hours of the night. It got so bad that my friends wouldn't let me go anywhere alone. If I had to work nights, they'd walk me to and from my job. Usually someone would sit with me during all of my three-hour shift.
The guy even sent me email telling me he was watching me. He'd call me a bitch and tell me to gain weight. He'd call himself Satan.
It was all very frieghtening.
Since then I keep my phone number private. I don't tell people where I live. I am very aware of my surroundings. I live in constant fear even though 9 years have passed. It really sucks.

Yes Spitfire, definitely a menace.

My dogs are very large and VERY protective of me! Hell, I can't even get the UPS or FedEx men to knock on my front door! They hear my dogs barking and just say, "F- it!" They leave the package without even waiting for me to answer the door and sign for it! Oh well. Wish I had these dogs back in 1989 in Chicago!!

Oh that's terrible!
There are lots of freaks around the place and the scary thing is half the time they don't think they are doing anything wrong. Best thing is self-protection as you have made mention. And dogs, well they truly can be (wo)man's best friends!
