t99, 9 1/2 weeks could hardly be called a newbie!!
That, plus I got where I am honestly, with hard work, writing (and marketing) skills, and a lot of time studying "the game." ;-)

i can't be botherd

readding all this shit right now, quirky -- if this poor hapless blogger is who i think he is -- and i've been away awhile, and gee did you even think of sending a comment to me? no!  Oh, why do I bother with you, sometimes -- then I regret helping that blogger to the top ten when I can never get close to that list and when I am also trying hard to find a way to send this blogger -- who keeps saying he is leaving -- to the graveyard whence he came!  He takes longer to die than Camille, or he has more lives than Jason, Freddy, and Michael Myers combined!  Where are Abbott and Costello when you need them -- hanging out with Jerry Seinfeld and Superman!  Sheesh!

okay I missed you too.  tg

It appears that you
have stirred that big old pot here. Careful, you will soon be the target of that little alliance. Any system can be rigged and there has been no doubt in my mind that there are those here who have found ways to play unfair. There are always those who just can't play by the rules.

I could care less about being number 1 or 2 or 100 simply because I just care about what I write. Now hunting is a hell of a lot of fun....shadow

Quirk, you know I really don't care about getting read. As long as my Quirky reads, my days on Blogit are happy and secure.

But really, I know there are lots of people in the back who are dying to get read, but pretend that they don't care. But they do! And that's sad, but what can they do? It's better than posting fake headlines and its a lot better than self-pity pieces and sexy-and-wonderful-me pieces, right?

To help ypu in your research, here are some comments in Ariala's Blog :

I predict a battle for number one between Chris2303 and Ariala by the weekend, provided Chris2303 keeps the pace. It's a role reversal. This was exactly the situation in about August-September 2003. Ariala had one blog against Chris's 3 in the top ten. Prove me wrong, please. Chris will be number one this time next week or earlier.

Posted by byebye on June 23, 2004 at 3:53 AM (permalink)

If you have 25 regular unique daily clickers, you should be in the top 100 within two weeks. If you post twice daily and all 25 click regularly preferably leaving comments ( the comments have a multiplier effect in that they invites others online at the time to click), the time will even be shorter maybe ten days. I've done it in seven days with the The Hobbit.  Mainland US and Canada, London, and Australia are your main markets so blog when it's early morning or past dinner. Once you have developed a 'clique' your blogs need not be 'content' heavy. You can post crap and maintain audience. In the beginning, to create visibility, stir up some controversy, this will shoot you up very quickly. For example, watch Katray's 'Blogit Bull', if she keeps the pace, the blog will hit top 100 within 10 days or less. But Katray is erratic, sometimes, she disappears for days. If you haven't got a clique, your blog will stay at near 1000, 700-800's at best, however good.

To stay in the top ten is tough. You must have a clique. You must post often. You must comment and kiss ass or attack/counter attack which is not healthy but hey , it produces the clicks. Plagiarism is a regular fare, sex never fails, religion if you can stand it.

But I am retired. I will happily stay in the shadows. I have a weblog which Ariala posted below and my website under development is at www.wedg888.com
