I wonder if it isn't just insensitivity on the
part of others that causes thinning of the skin. Personally, I try to stay away from those who take pleasure in knocking others down. When amongs people like this, I often wonder if I am thin skinned or if their hide is so thick that they've lost all feeling. Ah, well.....

Well, thin-skinned is my middle name. Let's see I suppose I can give credit to at least two of the questions. I mostly get sad and upset when people push others around or mock them or deliberately hurt them. As for myself I get upset when lied to and deceived or told that my comments don't make sense...... shadow

My freind Quirky I am honored that our comments have been so
inspiring. Whether it is the people here or just the changes taking place in my life I am coming to better accept the fact that I am thin-skinned and that it enables me to be receptive and open to the feelings and needs of others. This is good as long as I don't let it over-whelm me. But, I could not happily see myself as a thick-skinned individual. I yam what I yam, and that's all what I yam! Thanks for the acceptance! I am a proud member of the thin-skinned club.

I'm really not thin-skinned though. I can take it, even though I don't
like it. It challenges my attitude and my ability to stretch myself and my sense of humor. I don't really get offended easily.
