If like, my boob was showing and I didn't know it or something,
I'd appreciate another woman filling me in on that fact. If it were something like someone telling me that my house stunk of cat pee or something else that was rude, then no. (Unless it was a very close friend...then I'd appreciate the heads up) But, I have no problem telling people how rude, obnoxious, or lame they are for making certain comments to me or others....particularly in Blogitville!

Hey, Quirky -
Underwear flapping is underwear flapping. I must admit, I have kept some of mine way too long and I dare say, they would not look very good flapping in the breeze.

Do Unto Others
I like to think that others would like me to do unto them as I would have them do unto me. If I was standing there with my underwear flapping in the breeze and didn't know it, I would want to know immediately, if not sooner!

It depends on what it is.
If someone's breath stinks, I might let them know discreetly, by popping a mint or a piece of gum in my mouth and offering them one as well. If a woman has lipstick on her teeth, I'll let her know. I was mad once because I had apparently written on my face with a blue ink pen and no one bothered to tell me until two hours later. However, there are some things that I won't say to someone. A girl, supposedly one of my friends, once asked me if I was too poor to afford a pair of shorts that were a size bigger. I am very self-conscious about my hips, and that really ticked me off, especially because she weighed about ten pounds more than me and was about five inches shorter, so she really didn't have any room to be talking.

I've had TP on my shoe and no one told me
and I was really embarassed. Now I always check.
Jake had a guy at work who had icky's comng out his nose after sneezing during a meeting with a client. Jake kept wiping his own nose and looking at the guy but every time the guy wiped, he just spread it. Jake finally whispered to him, "Go wipe your f**king nose."

Skirt in the underpants
Yes, it happened. Was Christmas shopping. Passed the Tobacco Shoppe - high class place in Eastgate Mall frequented my men- older woman - grey-haired, glasses, grandma type - must have just gone to the bathroom - her skirt was stuck in her underpants covered by her panty hose and she had her back to the entryway.
I high-tailed it in there, said Tturn around, say nothing, you're skirt is in your panties."
She was hrrified but thanked me profusely.
So I'm glad I did it.
Bad breath and that - depends whether I know the hairdreser or not.

I'm just too much of a coward to ever speak up, Quirk.
I'm not afraid of offending them, but of hurting them, which is a good possibility, so I usually always keep quiet. Great post, girl!

Quirky,
I think it’s cowardice, and I’ve been guilty of it. If I’m alone I’ll tell someone their breath stinks or their pants are ripped. If I’m with someone, family or friend, I’ll ask their permission first or I’ll just keep my mouth shut. I’m growing up, because I've learned that sometimes cowardice is the better part of valor. Isn't that a quote? J

David,
I agree, the "bad breath" scenario is the hardest one to be truthful...I cannot tell, either...and yet, if it were me, I would SO want to know, (esp. if it were chronic and everyone but me knew).

I always tell or almost
always tell a woman when her tag is out and showing
The tag on her blouse etc
Bad breath, I have never been able to tell anyone, so
I just hold my breath and smile whenever they are talking
or sometimes I turn my head and hold my breath but I am
getting to the point with 1 person that I just might tell him
his breath is bad and has alienated me from him
He is my chiroprator :-( and I haven't been to see him
in over a month because of it

Once at work my pants were unzipped. To make matters worse, both ends of my shirt tail was peeking through the opening, like a rabbit peering out of its hutch. Everybody noticed. Nobody told me. Bastards one and all.

One time, a very long time ago, my shirt was unbuttoned and a person
had the courtesy to tell me!!!!! I was mortified because how long had it been that way?! Thank God I was wearing a bra!!!!!!!
However, there was another time. when I was stretching before a run, and an older woman came over and criticized me because you could "see things". I always run in discreet areas, so I took offense to her remark, because I was not "out in public" and I was minding my own business.
So, I guess it depends upon the circumstances. Yes, definitely, it depends upon the approach, the intent, the specifics and the circumstances!!!!!!
