That Sounds Really Pretty!
My mom used to have a black velvet cape that had these beads on part of it that made up a kind of design like you find on a Hostess Cupcake. It looked a lot like a bullfighter's cape, and I liked to include it in my attire when I played dress-up.
Between third and fourth grade, I decided that, when I grew up, I was going to marry this guy in my class named Danny Main.
One summer evening, I dressed up in my mom's wedding dress (a white, street-length dress that came down somewhat longer on me at the time), a pair of her high heels, a white cap made of feathers, and that cape--then went outside to where Daddy was talking to this guy who was fixing our septic-tank.
I told him that we ought to pick Danny up and take him to the "drive-in fitter" with us--and he told me, "Not tonight!"
I could right volumes about the summer when I became nutty over Danny Main--and I'm sure he could, too!
Cheers!
