MariVye, thanks.
You have the support system, and now just hold onto your beliefs that it will happen. Never give up your hopes and dreams.

Loved this post - you are so clever!
I have actually never heard anyone say that writing is not a real job. I guess I am thoroughly blessed to have a supportive group around me! Too bad that is not enough to get the jobs ~
*sigh*

I'm one reader that could identify a dangling participle and the corpus collosum.

Hollee,
Oh, trying to write at home with kids, now that would be a near impossible feat!

Quirky, great post and I have to admit that I used to think that way when I was 18. I found out quickly that I needed to learn a lot. I've been learning every since.

Quirk:check your e-mail.
Ariala: I've never eaten horse. Thoughts of Flicka and Mr. Ed would probably ruin my dining experience. I've had everything else on that list. My philosophy is, if you kill it and cook it, I'll eat it.

Quirky, yes, really...I ate all kinds of exotic foods: horse steaks which
were quite tender, urchins, squid, cavier, snails and who know what else. I was raised near the ocean in Casablanca, and I didn't know better. At 17 I changed my diet big time...I've been a vegetarian on and off now since then. I do eat chicken and fish, but not that often. NO BRAINS THOUGH!

Talion, I was raised eating brains...hope they didn't have dementia. They
tasted like scrambled eggs. I can't believe we ate that crap in our home.

I've heard of brains and eggs. I've even had the pleasure/misfortune of seeing it. Wouldn't taste it though. I don't like eggs.

Ariala, thanks.
That is one of the main reasons I opted for the expense of renting an office away from home. Now all I have to deal with are persistent phone-service telemarketers!!
P.S. You may choose the brain if you like...make it a nice, big juicy one, though.

Quirky, can I choose the brain? hehehe Good piece. So true, especially
the part about not getting any respect because we're home working! Geez, I've had to turn the phone off, not answer the door an ignore the outside world during deadlines. People just don't get it. Would people bust in on a brain surgeon during an operation? Hale Bopp, no!!!
Great job! You ought to send this one in somewhere.
