Well, after reading this post, I bought a Christmas present while
shopping yesterday.  It was an item I'd thought of getting for several years now but hadn't yet.  Good idea to start early.  If I keep it up, we won't end up with debt in January!

Great tips....
The only thing I would add is to simplify things.  My Christmas goes so much better now that I simplify.  I get the same gift for relatives living far away - These days a christmas CD.  For office/school people, I bake.  That works so well as few people take time to homemake cookies and candy - so I pick easy recipes that taste like they took hours to make and spend a weekend baking and baking, delivering my gifts fresh on Monday morning  the second or third week of December.  For my immediate family, now this the time I shop to get it all done before the rush also.....Thanks for the great post!

Editormum - I know that I should do this. I read every word and...
said to myself, "You Dodo, why don't you do this?"   Christmas is always something that I procrastinate on.  I don't know why.  I just keep putting it off and then December is immeasurably stressful for me.
