This sounds like when I worked in radio as a DJ back in the 60' and 70's
Many DJ's used their middle name and their mothers maiden name. Then we hit the booze we had guys with names like Johnny Walker, Jack Daniels, Fred Schaffer, Jim Beam, Buck Molson, I went by the same name for years Dr. Dee, the Rock Doctor, it wasn't great but it paid the bills.
