Funny you should bring this up. Just the other evening my mom was saying how she remembered all her elementary school teachers' names.  My mom just turned 60 - so she has been keeping this useless bit of information in her head for quite a few years.

ME? I can remember my fifth grade teacher and my sixth grade teacher's names... that is as far back as I can remember.... huh ~

Memories from that time in my life
are better left as memories forgotten. Mine was not charmed, that is for sure. The one thing that did come to mind though was i before e except after c, and if you wanted to be popular you had to have Farrah Fawcett's mane attached to your head.

obscure things from my childhood???!!
Honey, I could write another book, just on the first 10 years!
I remember phone numbers too. I also remember teachers; especially Mr. Nichols; he was sooooooo cute, but he also had what everyone called the 'nickel paddle'--a wooden paddle with nickle size holes so that when you got whacked you'd have nickel size whelts! I also remember the taste of play dough and elmers glue among countless other useless things! That's what happens when you get as old as me!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane
love you kiddo!

I remember every phone number I've ever had, and it's been a lot.  I also always remember the way I was taught to spell dessert, not to be confused with desert.  Dessert has 2 s's becasue you always want seconds.
