I commend you for your desire to help others. If each of us took the time to really reach out to another human being, we would be spreading the message Jesus came to send and commisioned the rest of us to send.
You are doing very similar to what my husband and I do with our ministry; Unicorn Services.
Give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime. It's all about giving a hand up not a hand out.

Maybe those "rich" people are getting the same joy you're getting when you give YOUR cash away. Am I right?
