I still can't believe the percentage of people who don't vote! Glad to se you write this; hopefully it will have a postive effect!

I enjoyed the well thought out writing! Thanks. I had to do a number of hours reading and deciding this year before voting. in California we had a whole bunch of things to vote about.

Rainbow Writer,
My sister told me the other day on the phone after casting her vote for "W" that when she was voting, she started tearing up -- just like she does every time she votes. It is such an awesome honor and privilege to live in the United States of America where we have the freedom to vote our choice, and let our voice be heard. I couldn't WAIT to vote, and after casting my ballot, I lingered in the booth looking down at my candidate's name, and saying a prayer for him. For me, participating in our democratic process is truly a religious experience, because it is a sacred trust. Congratulations, Rainbow, on your first experience voting in our great democratic Republic!
