re: revolution: let's follow Thoreau and Martin Luther King and find nonviolent ways to expressing ourselves when we find something disagreeable and we can't politically do something about it.

kooka these two sentences that you wrote tell it all
"I see nothing to be gained from fighting among ourselves. We need to find middle ground and learn to compromise if we wish to keep this country strong".
This is the only way we can move on is by uniting, but and thus is a large BUT there are those on the extreme left and right that will try everything to keep in apart.
