Howdy,
While I was working on my master's degree, I spent some time with a psychiatric nurse practitioner. That experience was invaluable, and one thing she highly recommends to her clients is walking for 20-30 minutes daily. Is that something you're physicall able to do? I find, too, that when I'm getting frustrated with life or what have you, I always feel so much better when I can get outside and walk for awhile. It helps that I have a dog who needs to be exercised every day.
Just a thought. . . and hang in there! Oh yes, and the journaling is an excellent, cathartic activity. Keep up with that!
