Jason, seems like we took a slightly different approach but
the goals were the same.

That's great
My uncle took us to church so we had to go in the front door. As soon as we thought he was gone, my brother and went through the chuch and out the back door to the Standard Drug Store down the street.

Memories. memories
I tried a different tact. I went to Sunday School, took change from my offering out of the collection plate and then did my thing, people remembered seeing me somewhere, sometime, worked for Years. Nice writing as always.

I hear you...
My mother wanted me to get religion after my father died back in '83. She, of course, did not. Now I am Wiccan (not that my mom had anything to do with it) but my children are in the same boat. My hubby is Catholic (non-practicing) but his parents go to church religiously (excuse the pun) and want both my daughters there. I don't want to upset my in-laws, but I don't want to force my kids to do something I don't even want to do.
