Exactly. It was one of many kept away from the church when the decisions about the New Testament books were made by Constantine. And you can read the entire book at the early christian writings website I've mentioned before.

I like that.
now, I'll have to get a copy of the book.
There's lots I haven't read or explored.
This has to be one of those that the 2nd Century theologian discarded as being non-canonical and ordered destroyed.
for obvious reasons -- it departed from the accepted --
and now it's hard for Christians to accept such.
but the concept is true.
