thanks, I appreciate your advice.
When I wrote this I wasn't really thinking in terms of poetic expression, but I definitely see what you mean. If I ever rewrite it I will try to do as you suggest.

Quirky, I think it's a poem, but you should "show and not tell." Describe
a woman, show a writer; let me see adventure, your cats, and everything else. Bring our senses into this a little more...appeal to my eyes, my nose, my sense of taste, and my emotions...show, don't tell is the best way to express it. I had four years of poetry in college and that's all I ever heard my professors telling me, so believe me, it's engrained, and I still fail in this area.
