UH, Thanks for explaining.
Funny it is that I never wonder about my sanity. I just know I have weird thoughts running around in my mind from time to time. These I never voice to anyone, but I just asssume that weirdness is part of me and don't attempt to mess with that. I know that I don't suffer from paranoid delusions, so I guess that's where the difference would be. It's amazing that you can be detatched enough to realize when something's wrong. Most of us do not have the ability to do that.

A good question word.smith, and that was one of the reasons why I felt that maybe I wasn't really insane. However, "sane" is defined as follows: "Of sound mind; mentally healthy" or "Having or showing sound judgment; reasonable". The first definition I do not meet, the second is a bit different. While I am able to judge my condition and understand that what I'm hearing is not real, I also have to consider that I have made many decisions based on what I now know were paranoid delusions. I tried for a long time to prove to myself that I was sane, but I just can't seem to be convincing enough.

I have yet to come across
someone well, you're the first, who actually thinks they're insane. Can someone who is insane have their faculties about them enough to gauge their sanity?
