Excellent story…

You are right, “we don’t truly believe in him, we don’t truly trust in him.”

Westwend -
I think it happens all of the time. I've had a few myself. And I believe we can create our own miracles, if we believe.

check out Peter and the storm and walking on water

Peter believed Jesus could do it

but he couldn't believe he could.

we have trouble believing in miracles in our own lives --

while so many Christians believe that the Parting of the Red Sea happened and "Joshua fit the battle of Jericho and the walls come tumbling down."  and Jesus rose the dead.

but some little miraculous thing in their own lives?  -- they still ain't got the faith.

but maybe they look for the huge things

and overlook the little things

maybe they want the wrong things

I've mentioned miracles in my life.

one or two is all it takes.

the other world wants to prove it to you, it will

That's a good analogy, sannhet
Most of what medicine does today would have looked miraculous two thousand years ago, but it is straight science. Yet Jesus did those things by the guidance of the spirit within him, not through medical training. He told us we could be guided by that spirit as well.
