Hi UH. They are not better than you. In fact, what you're describing is
a character disorder. Histrionic Personality Disorder to be exact. Character disorders overall, are much more difficult to cure, as they are a unique way of dealing with the world which is very much ingrained in the behaviors of the individuals. It's very astute of you to notice this and be able to analyze it to such a degree, as you've pinpointed the characteristics quite nicely. You seem really good today and I hope this continues for you. Yup...
I do think being dramatic is a vice, a coping mechanism. A deflecting mechanism.
My parents always called me dramatic when I was younger, then it changed to overly emotional. I think overly emotional was better, as I never TRIED to blow things out of proportion. I despised being called dramatic, though...

I wear drama repellent! The second someone begins to exude it.. I bounce away. As they say,"Save the drama for your mama" LOL.

Drama doesn't end after highschool.....
It ends after college, and roomates, and after all your relatives die... and sometimes, after your own death.
