- Go to Stigmata -- the biggest con job of all time
SincerityAnna and Kelli
That would be the only credence I could possibly give Stigmata. In the question how far can a person take an affliction willed of their own accord? I've seen people talk themsleves into rashes and headaches before but wounds in specific places? This goes beyond what most medical practioners feel is possible in pshyco-sematic illnesses.

Sincerity, it's not actually you heart that reacts, it's the knowledge of the symptoms, like numbness in the left arm and such. Don't think about it too much!! lol!

Yes, it is the will of the person that wants it. (stigmata), I have
literally talked myself into heart attack symptoms before!

G-dome,
the mind can manifest physical stigmata. Very strange, but true!

Gome...
My husband and I own the movie Stigmata. You are right. AND I don't think that I would consider myself blessed after bleeding profusly from my hands either...I would feel punished, just as Jesus had...God would not have created stigmata as a blessing if it actually were to exist. That would be more from satan I would think. Isn't satan the reason Jesus was cricified to begin with?

quite
I said that way as not to take away from the unfortunate souls that were indeed exposed to this insanity and are working doubletime as an adult for what should have been accomplished in childhood.

jackie_o being exposed to religion is one thing

sheilake -- glad to make your aquaintance
When I think of this ludicrous scenario I can't help but laugh. Adults trying to convince children of something that they are afraid to acknowledge their own doubts of. Accompanied by the desperate hope they themsleves hold that this "sign" is a true sign from God. Pathetic isn't it?

I thank God every day that I was not exposed to religion
as a child.

HERE, HERE!
Wishing upon "signs" is so humorous. I wish all the christians I know would wish themselves back to their "ass-ylum". But I can only speak about those I've met personally.
