It's not our soldiers who are "....bloodthirsty war mongers...."
They are just young men and women who signed up to protect our freedom!!!

I guess the best that we could do would be to send a bunch of our
blood thirsty war monger soldiers who are standing around the corners of Iraq over to the Congo, and tell them to completely obliterate from the face of the earth all the militia men who are raping the women of the Congo. Countless lives and families would be saved, and the soldiers could actually receive praise from us when they got home.
I'm totally serious. They'd certainly get a "Thank you" from me for doing something to make up for the much more subtle form of rape that's going on toward the women of our own country.

The best part of blogging is when people are made aware of serious issues
Even informing people is a start. thank you for writing about this. It is these hidden situations which are the last to get help

I already did what I could
I felt there was a reason we didn't clear out my dad's stuff right after he passed. Local chairities are having a sale to send what we can.

Dear Christy, Congo has been my country's former colony until about 1960 or so. I'm surprised that no Belgian television newsstation made any reports about what you are telling here. It might just show again indeed that what's happening far from our beds, isn't really a hot item enough for any prime time. And thus we close our eyes, and dream of our next ice cream... manner of speaking here!
Thanks for bringing this up!
