Have you considered working at a hotel? There are countless employment opportunities and full time yields benefits.
Once you establish yourself and make connections there are numerous ways to get your hustle on.
I worked in the banquet department as a server, picked up extra hours as a banquet bartender when they were short, picked up some shifts in room service and at bell stand/concierge, learned to shine shoes, and also hustled some valet parking gigs on the outside!
One of the newscasters used to think there were 5 of me! LOL

Actually, I've thought about it, but I have no formal training. I just cook on my own using what I've learned through watching my parents. Plus, I don't know if I'd really want to spend all day every day in the hot kitchen of some restaurant. I like my own kitchen.
I've thought about catering though. But I would need a bigger kitchen and a bigger car! hehe

Actually, I've never made bread, though I'd love to try it! Do you have a good recipe you'd care to share with me? You can email it to me if you don't want to post it here!

Jemmie, have you tried baking bread? With real sourdough? Kneading
the dough does wonders for motivation...great exercise and anti deppressing...

Interesting post.
For years I have been trying to find someone to pay me for staying home, but they just won't do it. I work for the money, which we need, otherwise, I'd love to stay home. Hope you find something soon, but in the meantime, you can cook and freeze until you're blue in the face.

C'mon over! I got PLENTY of food after yesterday's cooking spree! And the pasta sauce smells delicious!!! (My best friend, who is NOT a pasta fan tells me all the time that she could eat
my pasta every day.

I don't have a job. But after the jobs I've had, I'm very happy. I'm so wrapped up in reading and writing that I cease to get bored. Although, I can afford to take the time off.
