JJ, I know Pez is Spanish for fish.
But I like fish. I don't like fish flavored candy, though.

I'm not waiting Spitifre, they just seem so young...
I had mine done when I was 6, my brother (who has the same unnamed thing) was 8. Emily is only 15 months old and I know that it's going to be really traumatic for her. Rachel should be OK she's a brave little soldier.

Well, Yu guys..
Next time you go to the hospital take a junkie friend along. Their needle work seems to be much more expert. They can find veins that the average person can't even see.
And about Pez--pez is the Spanish word for fish. Pescados is what Gringos usually call them, but a pescado is a fish that is caught. Since each candy is called a Pez, we can only assume that there is one entire fish in each little block of candy. From each container of Peces (plural) you eject one Pez (fish) at a time. Have you ever noticed a fishy taste? I think they come from the White Fish that are dried on the shoulder of the highway at Lake Chapala, Jalísco. They don't smell too fishy, so they probably don't taste too fishy.
Take care Gitana

so, I wish only the happiest for all who do and as always, I wish the brightest of blessings ever after.

FactorF, my God, I wasn't aware of the fact that
you had MS, however my memory isQUITE HORRIBLE! Please, don't feel
any sorrow for
me.
I don't wish it, need it, though we all gain from any well wishings. However, MANY of my thoughts and prayers are given to you and sent to you. Not that you are not strong enough to need them! We will all conquer all we set out to do so and I am certain you will, too. But prayers and any healing thoughts are always a plus!

LadyofS, yep. Family history would help a lot.
Or, I guess I could say, "would have."

Yeow! I know you said it didn't hurt...
But it looks like it does.
I tend to be bruised a lot because due to having MS I have frequent injections of medication. I will refrain from posting a picture of my stomach though...
I used to do arms and legs but I always felt like people would wonder if I was being abused or on drugs of the illegal kind.

MerryA, no! Don't wait!
My blood disorder wasn't caught until I was just about DEAD in ICU back in 1998! I had history of being anemic and stuff, but nothing like that. It came out of nowhere. (I feel like I'm writing, "It was a dark and stormy night...") But seriously, this is probably TMI, but I had finished my period days earlier and then suddenly around 4pm at work, I felt like I got it again. I went home to change and discovered that I had blood clots literally (HEY, SQUEEMISH ONES, EXIT NOW!!) pouring out of me the size of my fist. I'm not kidding. By 9pm, I was losing conciousness on the couch after going through at least 9 extra thick Maxi's. My then husband rushed me to the ER where I wound up in ICU. They said if I got to the hospital an hour later, I would've been dead. The doctors were baffled until 2 years later when I lost my baby. They sent me to the hemotologist and after many tests, discovered my disease. I could have died during a couple surgeries I had before the big incident cause no one was aware of it then. I was lucky. Very lucky. Get your babies tested!

Eeeewww!
Well we're all in the same club - strange blood disorder (don't even know what mine is) bad lab techs... (I once had a bruise so big that it looked like I had be smoked with a softball!) and now I have to send the wee girls in to see if I gave them my weird blood (Can't they wait until they are older to do a blood test?!?!?!)
Hugs to both of you (gently of course)

OUCH! Not so hard, Gypsy!
You just don't know your own strength, do ya?! Yeah, that's gonna leave a mark! (Tommy Boy)
Yes, Gypsy. We all know what a unique pair we make. We just need to keep sharp objects away from us and maybe get mobile body shaped bumpber guards like they have for kids' bowling lanes!!

Mark, I love Pez!
Especially after that one Seinfeld episode when Jerry put the Pez dispenser on Elaine's chair at the piano concert. I put one on my boss's desk chair the next day in the same position. (Okay, so ya had to be there.)

Hey Sweetie... We're a lovely pair huh?
Thanks so much for the show of support and the empathy. Misery always does enjoy company and now I don't feel so bad for myself because I see someone else going through the same. Hugs (gently of course, we have enough damn bruises!)
