Jemmie....that rash....
could be hives (allergic reaction) or it might be eczema. My eczema flares when I am under a lot of stress or when I don't drink enough water. (Or, oddly enough, if I eat too many raw tomatoes.)
If it's hives, then I suggest Benadryl cream applied topically to the rash. IVArest is also good, though it's actually an OTC specific for poison ivy/insect bites.
If it's eczema, try Noxzema cream first. If that doesn't work, I've found that bathing in honey (ew, sticky!) can help. (You slather on the honey all over the rash, and then climb into a warm (not hot!) bath. Soak for at least 15 minutes, then get out an apply a light moisturizer to the area.)
Whatever you do, don't scratch! I used to scratch my eczema so much that I would lose all the skin on my hands. Any time you scratch, it opens places in your skin where infection can get in ... and believe me, there is nothing worse than a diabolically itchy skin rash that is also inflamed and infected.
If you think it's eczema and you can get to a doctor who will give you a sample of Elidel, that is the best thing on earth for eczema.
