actually you're right
every day should be given over to contemplation and wondering about the great questions.

I'm part of a Sunday observing church (was part of a Saturday once) -- I recognise that every day should be like Sunday.

People solid in their beliefs don't need a building.

I feel that our own church building should act as a beacon in the neighborhood, where eventually more exploration of the great questions can occur outside of the paradigm of the belief system.

I was lucky to have a minister or two like that growing up...and the best thing is that they left me with the ability to study, learn, and pray on my own.  Sometimes alone is the only way to really find God...a "personal" relationship, as many Christians like to call it.  (Good Blog)

Metta . . .
It sounds as if your Minister is truly in touch with the divine, and you are lucky, and blessed, to have noticed.

The church I attend has a wonderful Minister who finds God all over his daily life and in symbols surrounding him (it is because God and his church is within him)... I am astounded at the beauty that comes from this man, tears rise in my eyes, as he pulls everything in and shows how God is in it... and yet, when in awe, I look around the Church expecting everyone else to be as in awe as I am, I am shocked to find that the people look...  well, they look like they are in church!!!  (you know what I mean?!)  The congregation complains that he doesn't pull all of his sermons together strictly from the bible, but pulls from all the other sources of God around him (and isn't God Everything?).  I feel blessed to have found a Minister like this, but most congregants do not know the jewel they have standing before them... they are just "doing their time"... Perhaps  I value him so greatly because he is a kindred spirit to my chapel  within?   Metta
