Locatin Location
The "Land of Enchantment" Is the nickname for New Mexico.I think it is or offical state slogan. I'm in Albuqerque...now celebrating it's 300th birthday! I think new building near the mountains has run the roadrunners down toward our part of town.

Oh, I love the Land of Enchantment.
In the mid-1970s, we lived in the mountains east of Duke City, Sandia Park. As one of my neighbors said, "It's a little bit of Heaven here." I loved the roadrunners, too. Great posts!

They eat snails too which are the molluck bane of my garden I would welcome a little guy and his Big Gulp nest. I have heard they pick up shiny things and steal them.

Very funny blog, whacky, but I am having serious doubts about your sanity. A question you didn't answer - what is a 'gulp' cup?

When in Arizona I had a dog that loved to chase birds. First time she tried
to chase a roadrunner, she took two steps and stopped. It was goooooone. She looked back at me as if to say "You see that?" LOL

Good Story...Peacocks run wild in Florida...
The first morning I woke up in this one hotel, I heard a noise, looked out my window, and there was a whole flock of maybe 10 peacocks walking down the sidewalk. They go wherever they like, even crossing busy streets, but it's against the law to run over them. I tried anyway.
