Personally, I agree with old Ben (Franklin)
"Anyone who is willing to trade their liberty for safety deserves neither."
I'm sure there will be future attacks, no matter what we do for security. I think what people really want to see is the evidence that their sacrifices have done some good. Thwarted attacks, people being caught practically in the act (before it's too late of course) and tried publicly. Then they'd feel safe - an happier next time they are standing in line at the airport.
