Thanks for sharing that, Alf.
It's obvious that you are a man that knows where he's been, where he's at, and most importantly, what it all meant.

Justsouno, first of all, you WOULD be missed around Blogitville.
Especially by ME (that's all that really matters anyway. ) But I know that it would be said that she was a delightful, charming, open-minded Christian with plenty of things to say and the talent to write it. She was also known for seeing the good in the world and even though it hasn't always been good to her, she never held a grudge about it.

Spitfire...

Good golly!!  This is a tough question...but here I go, as honestly as I can.

My children would describe me as fair but firm, a man who loves animals and babies, a man who has contempt for mean people and has difficulty tolerating stupidity.  They will miss my sense of humor, our long talks, and being able to have my confidense in personal matters.  They will never wonder if I loved them.

My parents, my siblings, my extended family and close friends would all remember me as someone to go to when they have a problem they can't figure out, someone who always had an idea, good or bad, about everything.  Someone who can be quite stubborn at times. I am also the family mediator,  they would have to find other resources for settling disputes.  They too will miss my humor, my opinions, and my love.  They will never wonder if I loved them.  My brother will miss his best friend.

Business associates and aquaintances will recall me as one who could be trusted.  A guy they have never seen upset or angry.  A guy they could go to for a straight answer.  A guy who is kind of private and hard to know in a way, at least at first.  The longer you know him, the more of himself he reveals.  Those I did not like or trust will know that, and they will know why.

There will be many women who will wonder what might have been, what could have happened.  There will be those that think I loved them even though I never told them so and those who will always wonder.  Some may even hate me...only because they loved me first and their love was not returned.

I am blown away by this question. I have't a clue. I would not be missed on
Blogit, I've been away and didn't get any bad or good mail. I guess it is not as important to me what they think of me as it is what I think of me and of them. I would hate to cash my chips in with some malice in my heart against another person. I just really don't know.

Oh I can hear 'em now:
"Isn't it just like that damn Strat to leave before it's his turn to buy the next round?"

spif,

It would all be questions:

What was in his will?
How much insurance did he have?
Where were his bank accounts?
Was there any mortgage insurance?
Who gets his truck?
Did he tell anyone that he promised me his tools?
Did he write down anything about me getting his guns?
Is there any beer in the fridge?
What about his computer?
Hey, where did he keep his cameras?
Who has to clean up this place and haul off that junk furniture?
Is there going to be a funeral?
What about the carc?  Did he want to be burned up, or do we have to stick him in the dirt?
Oh man, are we going to have to pay for a burial plot?
Everyone sneaks off.  The cats and dogs all look sad.  The cats bat at the body bag.
