Thanks, Isis! She's a cool little one (not little for long, though!)
She's already 14 pounds at 8 1/2 weeks of age! She's a good puppy except for the puppy punctures all over my hands and arms. Can't wait for those little daggers to fall out!

Spitfire,
Lindsey is a sweet name! She looks a lot like the dog I used to have, whose name was Rajah.
Congrats!

If it's the one I'm talking about, this is the first time it aired.
There was a similar one with the same couple called "Wolves Like Us" (I think) with the same pack that was released earlier.

Temple,
M and I were watching a documentary Sunday night about wolves. I saw it before, but it was cool to see again.

Matsi is the name of a wolf who was part of the Sawtooth..
...wolf pack project. He was the beta wolf who's role was to look after the omega male (and sometimes the omega female) to make sure he/she didn't get too picked on. He babysat the cubs as they were born, more than Mom...the alpha female, and was so sweet, he finally got his brother, Lakota, out of the position of omega male. I think I said it means "brave and sweet." He was one of the favorite wolves in that project. It's called "Living with Wolves" and "Wolves Like Us" (the documentaries). I like names that are unusual and I like ones with a history like that.

Thank you, Symph! We ended up naming her Lindsey.
It fits. She's a cutie. New pics coming soon. Got a few with her playing with Stonci.

tigerprincess,
Those are cute names, but I needed something a bit more unique. You have no idea how many Cuddles and Precious and Cookie's we have at the hospital! I know Lindsey isn't that unique, but I don't hear it very often. It seems to fit her and M likes it!

JJ, you know why Temple suggested Samantha, right?
And thanks, she is a cutie! (She's a typical terror, though!) Just like having a toddler around.

Temple,
I know Lindsey sounds kinda Dynasty, but I mentioned that name to M last night before he went out and as of this morning, I heard him calling her Lindsey and it kinda stuck. So, sorry, Lindsey it is! I do like all the suggestions here, though. I was kinda liking Alli.

Spitfire...
my husband was really into Stevie Nicks when he was a teenager and researched her as the subject for a report even. He once told me she "thought she was a witch" for a while. She may still, don't know. Also it's a feminie name that is not too feminine. Anyway that's why it popped into mind

Spiffy,
One thing to think about is how shortened versions of the name will sound. You end up using a shortened name about half of the time. Sophia works well; Sophia, Sophie, Soph, Soap, or Soaper. Have an aunt and a cat with that name. Jesse is good; you can use Jessica, Jesse, or Jess. Have a yellow Lab mix named that. Lindsey is really a pretty name. You'll probably end up using Lin, Lins, or Linney a lot for that. I haven't known any people or animals with that name, except for an actress I liked a lot.
I kind of like Samantha myself, but I never really name a dog or cat until I get used to its personality. It doesn't take very long for them to come up with their own name. Josephine is also a big favorite of mine. Have a kitty, one of my favs, named that.
She really is a beautiful little dog. The yellow brow is super pretty. Markings can change a lot as they grow up, but I don't think that brow will change much. She really does look like a sweetie. I think she's about the prettiest German Shepherd I have seen.

Or, some other options:
Kali, Mina, Daisy, OR.... what about Sammy? (Samantha)

My vote is still Jesse, cuz of the dream thing. But second is Sam/Sammy, third is Daisy. Then I like Sophie, maybe Allie, and Bananas. :) In no particular order. I still like Nikka....but I tend to normally name my animals non-human names...or not common human names. Petie just ended up with Petie because it fit, he's a mischievious little boy ALL the time.
