From one who's ancestors were sold on the same auction block as yours, keep up the good fight. Name calling, questioning ones heritage is a familiar tactic to hide a simple truth, your people, mine, are in serious trouble. We can ignor it, or try, in our own small way, to make an impact, a difference, and if just one, or two, see reason in our effort, we are on the right road.

I figured as much. As I read yesterday's post, something about leopards and changing spots came to mind. Someone so outspoken and firm in his beliefs (notice I didn't say "set in his ways") will seldom change so easily, especially due to a little name-calling from a stranger hundreds of miles away.

I've also followed your posts in the past, but I never...
said anything because I don't know much about politics. But I always admired your prose. You're obviously an accomplished writer, and I think I remember (maybe from another blog) that you were going to take some time to finish a novel, or you were talking with a publisher or something like that.
I like the right-up-front quality of your writing. Your prose dances like a butterfly and stings like a bee!

MHW--We were never fooled. And BTW, one of the things I like about your
posts is that they can be applied to all "minorities." Specifically, I can transfer many of your ideas to the plight of women in America. So often we sit around and bemoan our fate, rather than take some accountability for it. Kudos to you for holding our feet to the flames.
