I think you are right. There will always be narrowly focused religious organizations that science will not be able to convince, no matter what the proof.

interesting post

i must take time to read these things.  to me, the jury is out.

but -- regarding these previous comments:  science has, I think, generally been more in tune with the Universe than religion has.  Religion has come from a limited world view that, like a mirror, is shattered when new information is found.  Science deals with those things we can experience with our five senses, thus it can be at odds with religion when religion purports to know something that has not been validated.

I would say that science is not coming around to the religionists way of thinking; but it is discovering beyond the known matter of the Universe -- I'll have to add here, or so it seems.

I know what I experience, and I guess it is time to relay that in a post.  I do experience something beyond that which can be experienced with the five senses, but it expresses itself to the five senses.

i would predict that even if science continues down the course you have mentioned, that it still will be at odds with narrowly focused traditional religion.

Thanks for reading! And it does make one feel good that we are evolving far enough to ask those right questions.

Let's hope the split gets completely repaired.

Right! They finally made it!

Science is not reality, but a way of learning what is real...

It is a way of answering questions, and it has finally evolved to the point of being able to ask the right questions, and of having the tools to then discover the answers.

Thanks for this post, Sannhet!

I agree, Sannhet
I think the 500 year old split between science and religion is being repaired, mostly from discoveries on the science side.

So! The scientists are finally getting the picture. Of course...
they had to go all the way around Robin Hood's barn to get here, but, the main thing is, they made it!
