Hey, NorthernYankee, sounds like you got the lyrics for
an alternative rock song for the new millenium that echoes Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son."

Divided and Conquored

Middle Class America; the American voter majority, needs to rise up and control their ruling elite.  I know the idea reeks of socialism; however, rich people are calling the shots while the poor and marginalised fight wars and die!

Only one member of congress has a family member who served during the second Iraq invasion.  Doesn't that sound odd?  Why is it, that is Armed forces recruiters target poor areas in America; because they want to help young people who are poor?  I would like the next president to be a well educated normal middle class hard working family person.  Rather than an ego-centred rich dude.

The Rich have divided and conquered America very effectively.

Views from the True North  Consider my ideas......Cheers

partially, michael, but a lot of it has to do with traditional Muslim vs.

Western ideals, a little radical Islam thrown in (like Wahhabism), allowing Hussein to remain in power back in the first Gulf War, our imperialistic tendencies when it comes to their oil, our ties with Israel -- and the invasion and occupation of their country for the past couple years.  Yes, they've learned to hate us, but the last two years is only to icing on the cake.  (And that's not saying that there are pro-American Iraqis, Muslims and otherwise, although I am sure they are in the distinct minority.)

Thanks, michael_pilarte, being a student all these many years of the socio-
political goings-on in the world seem to come in handy in this blog.
